Visiting London is always an energy boost for me as it’s such a fun and vibrant city, not to mention my ex home of two years back when I had the UK working holiday visa. This was the first time James and I have visited London as a couple, having met in London in 2008 and getting together years later in 2012. He’s English and originally from London so it was great being able to spend time with his family and friends who I’d not met yet and vice versa.

Staying in an East London Airbnb was fun and convenient, above a trendy pub called ‘The Culpeper’ in Aldgate East. We had easy access to the cafes, bars and restaurants of Shoreditch. We noticed so many new cafes which have popped up in the East (and London in general) since being here two years ago. It’s really nice having some solid breakfast options and Sydney standard coffee – being able to ask for a flat white at 90% of places now! Forge & Co was a favourite, being a huge café/ library-esque  work space on Shoreditch high Street.

Fashion in London feels so different mainly due to the weather. It’s such an inspiring place for street style and people watching – wish I was staying for London Fashion Week!
