Creature Comforts

Introducing my new top, the ‘big bird’ top which attracts lots of hugs and attention. I am totally obsessing over this top right now, and it seemed only fair to create an all black look centered around this top for a night out in Bondi recently. I think I’ve mentioned to you guys that I work in advertising as a day job, so I really love being a bit more out there on the weekends and dressing up when I can! Advertising environments tend to be cool and laid back in terms of work attire, but not as dressed up as you would think. That said I recently felt like dressing up on a Friday and wore this top to work with a silky long sleeve shirt underneath (so you could only see the sleeves), a leather mini, black pointy heels with a streak of pink, and a leather jacket. I really loved the combo and got loads of compliments! I love playing with different textures in winter, and faux fur is a comforting for me – along with other things like tea, expensive shampoo, nice PJs and good quality sheets!

These high heeled sneakers are my favourites right now. I purchased a pair similar from Primark in the UK a few years back and found that I didn’t get the wear out of them – they were a tad uncomfortable and the wrong colour. These black Vans have changed my mind and are a killer purchase! I’ve been wearing them with jeans, dressed, skirts and they’re definitely one of my key items for the season.

I actually realised that my blog is one year old this month! I can’t believe it…! Who’s been following from the start? I would love any comments or feedback, as the comments section has been quiet lately!
