The Situation

At half way through the year (can it be July already?!) my wardrobe had slipped into a massive ‘same-same-but-different’ style rut. I saw myself wearing the same old jeans, coat and trainers every day. Whether I was going out to meet friends for brunch, stepping into the office a few days a week or going to meet my boyfriend for a movie date this had become the standard outfit of choice.

The Idea

I got lazy, so I decided to step it up. Back on my a-game with some new pieces from Oxford Shop. I’m still on a high about working with this brand, because I truly love their stuff and it seems so underrated! I can always find those key, good quality pieces that elevate my whole look. This whole outfit is head to toe Oxford Shop.

The Process

I find such great satisfaction when I feel like I’ve styled a look the best I possibly could and that’s how I feel about this outfit. Starting with the feet, I love the boots because they feel so ‘now’ not quite sock boots, but almost (and they were in the sale). The d-ring skirt is the perfect length to style with this coat, and thankfully Sydney winter allows bare legs! The jumper is perfect and goes with everything from skirts, to jeans, to black trousers. A hair cut always helps when you’re feeling a little blah, so I also had a trip to my favourites at Blow Dry Bar and bit the bullet on a fringe.

The Result

I feel like I’ve broken the spell of my boresville uniform. Feeling super happy about all of these pieces and confident I can make them work with lots of different looks over the coming months! Yay!
