Stripes In Chinatown

It was a China Town affair on the weekend for catch ups with blogging babes Helen & Jo. I love this part of Sydney with it’s hustle and bustle and fast-paced vibe. It almost feels more London than laid-back Sydney, with the constant flurry of people and the general buzz. It makes for a great shooting with movement in the background, people everywhere – not to mention trams and risking our lives to get the perfect shot! This was the scene for our shoot last Saturday, where afterwards we hit up one of the local Chinese restaurants for one of my favourite meals – yum cha!

I’m addicted to shooting outfits in golden hour right now, it’s such flattering lightening and I always love how the pics turn out. Being in China Town was a bonus because there’s car lights, traffic lights, and cool signs adding interest to our pics. Did you spot the photo bomber? :)

This outfit is my favourite I’ve put on the blog in a while, being super casual and comfortable. I bought this coat from (you guessed it) Zara about a month or two ago (time flies!) and I’ve worn it so much. My boyfriend was actually like ‘Do you really need this coat?’ at the checkout – haha. The answer was yes! An impulse buy that certainly paid off and now I can’t live without it. H&M fake leather pants never go astray, especially when they’re in one of the best colours this season – khaki. Looking forward to heading straight to H&M when I land in LA in a few weeks and checking out all the trends for USA summer!
