I was recently introduced to a brand called Sisters The Label and I immediately resonated having two sisters of my own…

‘Sisters’ specialise in silk dresses that are almost like one gigantic scarf that you can wrap around yourself and style in different ways. They come in all different colours, and there’s at least 8 different ways to wear the dresses (which can be seen on their website here). Anyone living in Australia will know this is a great option for summer, when it’s too boiling hot to wear anything heavy and minimal clothing is required. Silk is a great option as it’s light and versatile.

I was intrigued to know the story of the brand with a name like sisters. I found out the owner and her sisters all borrow each others clothes, and she wanted to create pieces they would all wear and love. So the colourful silk pieces of ‘Sisters the Label’ were born.

The story isn’t too dissimilar to mine having grown up with two younger sisters. They would often raid my wardrobe for anything that took their fancy and I’d often find new purchases ‘going missing’. Both my sisters are living abroad now so I know longer have to worry about my little sisters “borrowing” my stuff. I do miss them though!
