This year I was fortunate enough to travel to Auckland for my first ever NZ fashion week, and what a fun week it was!

It had been a while since I’d visited Auckland and I was looking forward to heading over to see the latest fashions from NZ designers, exploring new areas, and hitting up the cafe scene. Two other Sydney based bloggers and I (White & Capsule and Calmly Kaotic) couldn’t wait to see what New Zealand fashion week had in store.

In typical Auckland fashion, the weather was temperamental and rainy, but it didn’t detract from the overall success of the event. The first show we hit up was Stolen Girlfriends Club, held in a warehouse setting with an open bar. We quickly forgot about the pouring rain outside when we laid eyes on the edgy collection. Think rock’n’roll vibes and the return of leather, grungy to boot.

Other highlights of the week included Harman Grubiša, Wynn Hamlyn, Lucilla Gray, Eugenie and the colourful swim show which showcased various designers.

During the day we explored the Britomart area with newly opened Tiffany’s store and lots of cool cafes including ‘The Store’. Britomart Country Club is also a must for drinks!
