Lift Off

The first outfit post for 2014 is here, and we have lift off – literally! These photos were hijacked by the wind playing games with my skirt, which made for some unique outfit pics :)

I took a chance with this combination as I wanted to achieve casual and dressed up as one, for an afternoon tea with friends. I didn’t really give this look too much thought, I just knew I wanted everything to centre around this amazing fuchsia skirt, and every else be secondary. Normally I would do a camisole or more risqué neckline when wearing a maxi skirt and definitely have hair out and wavy, but in the interest of mixing it up I went for high neckline, low bun and statement earrings. The skirt and heels definitely had some great chemistry – what do you think of this look?

Speaking of these heels – they’ve had a great run on the blog, and definitely win the ‘most amazing heel’ award for 2013. In saying that you”ll be pleased to hear I’m ready to give you guys a much deserved break and finally send them into retirement!
