Hi lovelies,

Double black with a splash of neon is really quite something isn’t it? I’m realising I need to stick to black more, as it’s super slimming and always looks cool and slick. It’s an easy building block colour which you can add anything to (colour – accessories – jewelry) and make it pop! Let’s face it everyone has black in their wardrobe, and if you’re like me you certainly have coloured accessories. Best and easiest combo to execute!

I still love colour and can’t imagine moving away from it completely, but it definitely has to be the right kind. There’s the colour prints that you can repeatedly wear that aren’t in your face and can be coordinated all the time into your wardrobe ie. a floral shirt, or there’s the out-there bright showy pieces which feel like a definite one off wear – I like to stay away from the latter. I just think there’s more to work with when you take the basics and add to them.

This top I have had SO much use from, I really love the high neck and winged sleeves. The skirt is adorable with padded affect. All the neon stuff is so hot right now – but you could get imaginative with this and add whatever you like. The possibilities are endless! How did I overlook all black combos for so long?
