Being a child born mid-80s and growing up in the 90s I’ve always felt at home wearing lots of denim, check print and tight black everything. So when I put this outfit on I was definitely in my element. I instantly feel a whole lot cooler wearing denim, and to me it says ‘weekend’ attire. Pulling a casual look together is often harder to get right than whacking on a dress and heels, so it’s nice to showcase different everyday options on the blog.

It always amazes me how much a shirt tied around one’s waist automatically brings so much to an outfit. It adds flow and movement which looks sexy, can give you a defined waist, and adds an extra layer of interest giving people the impression you’re super stylish. I doubt this outfit would look half as good without the shirt wrap-around, think of it as a finishing touch!

My jean secret: I only buy jeans from Topshop. There you go, it’s out there. In my opinion it’s not about how much you spend on jeans, it’s about the quality and the fit. I’ve had many designer pairs of jeans that rip at the crutch, or let me down for whatever reason and they’re just not worth the money. Topshop happen to do amazing quality jeans, they fit like a glove, and they come at an affordable price. My favourite style is ‘Jamie’ and I have 5 pairs. I’ll never look back!

The lovely people at David Jones and Levi’s customised this awesome denim vest for me, how rad is it! David Jones are currently hosting a Levi’s pop up installation at their David Jones City store (situated on L1) offering people cool customisation of their Levi’s denim by a specialised Levi’s tailor. There’s options like fraying, distressing, studding, adding patches, and as you can imagine it’s pretty darn cool. They absolutely nailed it with my denim vest! Last day is tomorrow so if you get a chance check it out!

Have a lovely Friday! xxx

This is incredible! You always put together wearable looks and have such a fresh, inspiring style. I’ve never been too intrigued by Topshop’s denim but since you love it so much, I think I’ll have to go back for a proper look! X
